Kenny Salim

Kenny Salim is the Deputy Director, Quality and Improvement at CPRL. Kenny comes to CPRL with over 20 years of education leadership experience having served as Superintendent of Schools in Cambridge and Weymouth, Massachusetts, and as a senior district administrator in Boston Public Schools where he led the district’s nationally recognized mentoring, induction and teacher development programs. Kenny has taught human capital strategies and education policy at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education and Fordham’s Graduate School of Education, and has consulted with the Edward J. Collins, Jr., Center for Public Management at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. He is a past-board president and trustee of Learning Forward and was an Education Ventures Fellow at the Kauffman Foundation. Kenny began his career as a science teacher in Boston Public Schools. The first in his family to graduate from college, Kenny earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Brown University and his doctorate in the Urban Superintendents Program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
