Versha Munshi-South

Versha Munshi-South is a Director of Research Strategy and Policy at CPRL. Throughout her career, Versha has served as both a strategic advisor to senior education leaders and a grounded practitioner. Most recently, she held the role of Chief of Staff at Amplify & Elevate Innovation, advising superintendents on AI integration and organizational strategy. Prior to that, she spent nearly a decade at TNTP as a Director, where she designed and led school quality reviews, curriculum audits, and leader effectiveness engagements for state agencies, public districts, and charter networks nationwide. In this role, she translated complex research into concrete improvement strategies, managed cross-functional consultant teams across multi-phase engagements, developed context-specific research and implementation methodologies, and coached junior consultants. Earlier in her career, she served as a Principal, Instructional Coach, and teacher within the Public Prep Network in New York City.

In addition to her system leadership roles, Versha served as Vice President and elected member of the Stamford Public Schools Board of Education. Versha holds an M.A. in Elementary Education from Washington University in St. Louis and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Chicago.
